Set Up A Routine To Stay Motivated and Productive
Doing new and interesting things can be fun and exciting but routine helps keep you focused and grounded. It’s a good idea to set your alarm for the same time each day.
You might want to exclude weekends for work-life balance. 😃 Set it a bit earlier so that you can do some quick exercises before you start your morning work routine Make sure to go to your work area at the same time each day, just like when going out to your 9-5 job. This is your business after all.
Getting up at irregular hours and scrambling around trying to figure out when to start your work hours each day only wastes time and energy, and certainly doesn’t help with your productivity. Why not get an easy to use planner to get you back on track.

Have you looked around your home recently? How does it look? Is it cluttered, unorganized? This can be a major contributing factor for lack of motivation and not being truly productive. Try introducing some quick fixes around your work from home office area. Create an uncluttered space which will help make you think and work more clearly.
Make Sure To Stay on Track To Work Successfully
It’s amazing what you can do if you buckle down, concentrate and get rid of all distractions.
It’s very easy to think you spent 2 hours writing an article or doing a particular online job, when in reality you took numerous trips to the refrigerator, kitchen cupboard, checked on non-work related emails, your social media sites plus watched a couple YouTube videos.
This would be the perfect time to get yourself a great planner to set and schedule regular daily, weekly and monthly tasks. You would then avoid wasting time and find out that you used to actually spend less than 45 minutes trying to type up your article. It’s a great way to learn how to work remotely effectively.
Taking breaks when working remotely from home is essential, in fact, it’s necessary to avoid burn-out but remember to schedule out your breaks just like when you used to go out to school or work.
Set some time in your day so you have a little break to look forward to. That 10.30am coffee break in the morning along with the 2.30pm walk in the afternoon is a great little motivator. Don’t skip over these breaks write this precious time for yourself in your planner too.
Just telling yourself I will finish doing such and such by break time is so much more productive than wandering off to do something else on a whim and get sidetracked.
Don’t’ Feel Guilty Remotely Working from Home, Delegate
When you are remotely working from home and if you live with others, such as your family, your partner, presumably everyone is going to benefit from the extra income you plan to generate from your work from home business.
If they want to see you succeed then they should hopefully support your efforts and be willing to help out with a few things. Discuss it and delegate but don’t feel guilty which I know is a lot easier said than done if everyone is not on board.

Delegate some of the household chores and errands to the kids and husband (or whoever is in your family). Simple things which they probably should have been doing anyway like making their beds, washing and drying the dishes or loading the dishwasher. Folding and putting away the laundry.

Them helping out doing these few chores can save you a ton of time to get your work from home business where you need to quickly.
Ask Others to Help – Get a Cheerleader
If you have that positive friend or ultra-supportive family member you might consider making them your motivational partner who can hold you accountable.
Get them to help you set achievable targets and give you a nudge when you need reminding of what your goals are. If you haven’t accomplished your business goals within your planned timescale they can be your cheerleader and tell you that “you’ve got this!”
Set it up so that he or she can check in on you at regular intervals to see how you’re doing and encourage you when you need it the most. With their constant encouragement and positivity, you’ll look forward to telling them how much you have achieved in your work at home job each week.
It is really a great motivator knowing that someone is looking over your shoulder and rooting for you to accomplish your goals.
Be a Great Boss
You’re probably wondering what I mean by this as you now work for yourself.
We can really be our own worst enemies as a work from home business owner. We don’t give ourselves any credit and allow self-doubt to creep in, highlight the negatives rather than the small wins and worst of all, we don’t take time off.
How would you feel if you had a boss like that? Always putting you under pressure, never giving you a compliment or a word of encouragement and not allowing you any time off?
