Keto Focused Restaurant Menus
We all go to our local and popular restaurants from time to time but when dieting we tend to hide away from them like a vampire from daylight. Look, there’s absolutely no need to!
Here are a few typical examples of the restaurant food we love and a few helpful tips on how to choose the right foods to compliment the Keto diet.
A Firm Favorite Olive Garden
You can easily choose from the many selections on their menu. Although the menu might look pasta heavy there are Keto friendly foods available. They do have a nutritional page on their website, it’s not that user-friendly to navigate but the standard menu does have easy to find Keto foods to choose from. (Really sorry but I’m not allowed to use Olive Gardne’s pictures but you can drool over the ones below instead :=))
Appetizers – Spinach Artichoke Dip (without the pasta chips)
Salad – House Salad (without the croutons)
Main Meal – Salmon Piccata/Chicken Margherita/Chicken Piccata/Herb-grilled Salmon
A favorite of mine is the Stuffed Chicken Marsala but now I have it without the Garlic Mashed Potatoes but with the side salad instead.
Desserts you can choose from a range of fruit smoothies, cheesecakes and dolcinis. Please be aware of the crunchy biscuit base
How about Red Lobster
What’s good about Red Lobster is you can go online and make your healthy selection from their nutrition and allergy conscious interactive menu and use the nutrition calculator to make sure that you’re on the right track with your diet.
Plan a Lunch at Chipotle
You have absolutely no worries with Chipotle. If you check out their online menu you can use the dropdown selection to avoid carbs where it says “what should I eat if I am______________?” And you fill in your dietary restrictions. Plus the food is fresh and not processed.
From the menus listed above, you could easily choose the following and stick to your Keto diet plan. No need to fall off the Keto fat burning wagon with the temptation of stodgy carbs.
So the next time you want to chill out after work with your girls or guys you’ve got no excuses, Keto inspired foods are available to you at your local restaurants.
